One of the easiest to care for plants there is, the ZZ (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) can go a very long time without being watered (we suggest watering it once a month, when you pay your rent or mortgage), and needs very little light to stay alive, making it the perfect beginner's plant. Although great for newbies, and simple to maintain, this is still a beautiful plant, and is collected by many a seasoned plant collector as well. While they do not require much light, they will also do well if they get medium to bright light- what a versatile plant to have in your home!
